My first Accounting Information System (AIS) class was on 22nd November 2011. Like usual , it was held just to give us some ideas about the subject . Our lecturers' name is Sir Noreffendy and he is from Accounting & Finance department .
Actually , when i entered the class, first thing on my mind was , what is AIS and what it has to do with accounting ? Lucky Sir Fendy told us a bit about AIS and we also have to learn about UBS system which is normally used by an accounting firm to save time . But the worst part was , the cost of buying the UBS book plus the notes for AIS class :(
The cost of UBS book student version (cd , exercise book included) - RM70
The cost of AIS module - RM16
Total costs : RM86
----> which makes the total cost of all the notes and books that i have to buy for this semester is almost RM250 . BYE BYE MONEY !
Moving on , that day Sir Fendy also gave us our very first assignment of the week, well actually it is like a tutorial . The purpose is to make the students to recall back about the basic of accounting . HAHA , this is a fact ! I admit that sometimes i tend to forget certain things about the basic of accounting :) So , what Sir Fendy did was right . The basic of accounting is vital in learning AIS .
I hope that i can really do well for this subject :)
